Professional 6×6 Conversion for Modern Mercedes Models
Kubay Design transforms a client-supplied vehicle into a functional six-wheel pickup. The Mercedes 6×6 conversion combines chassis engineering, third-axle integration and a custom rear cargo section.
This project changes the vehicle at a structural and mechanical level. Therefore, our team plans the frame, drivetrain, suspension and body as one system. The finished build delivers bold proportions with a clean, factory-inspired appearance.
Compatible W463A and W465 Donor Vehicles
The service targets W463A and W465 models from 2019 onward. Both AMG and standard versions may qualify. However, Kubay Design must review the VIN, production date, drivetrain and current condition before confirming the project.
Check the Vehicle Generation First
The modern platform differs from the earlier pre-2018 W463. It uses different frame, suspension, body and mounting architecture. In addition, the later W465 may use revised exterior parts and electronic systems.
For this reason, registration year alone cannot confirm fitment. Send clear photos of the chassis, underbody, suspension and rear body section. Previous repairs or aftermarket changes may also affect the required work.
Chassis and Drivetrain Engineering
First, our team extends and reinforces the original frame. Next, we install the additional axle and connect the longer drivetrain. We also fit the required suspension and mounting components.
Base Conversion Includes
- Chassis extension and structural reinforcement
- Third-axle installation and drivetrain integration
- Heavy-duty suspension and mounting components
- Pickup-style rear cargo bed construction
- Wide rear fender extensions
- Full mechanical assembly and engineering work
The six-wheel chassis conversion forms the core of the project. Therefore, specialists must measure and align every major connection before final welding and finishing.
Pickup Body and Wide Rear Fenders
The extended cargo bed gives the completed vehicle traditional 6×6 proportions. In addition, the wide rear arches create a stronger stance around the third axle.
The base service does not include carbon-fibre parts or a full cabin upgrade. However, customers may request selected exterior components, interior work or custom suspension settings through a separate quotation.
Custom Configuration and Project Scope
Each W463A and W465 6×6 build follows an approved customer brief. For example, the project may include a different finish, upgraded lighting or additional off-road equipment.
Before production starts, Kubay Design lists every selected option in the final specification. As a result, the customer receives a clear breakdown of parts, labour and finishing. Unlisted upgrades do not form part of the base service.
Production Time and Workshop Process
The estimated production time is four to five months. However, donor condition, selected options and approval stages may affect the schedule. Kubay Design completes the work at its workshop in Chełm, Poland.
During production, our team checks frame alignment, drivetrain installation and body fitment. Finally, we inspect the main mechanical systems before collection or agreed transport.
Start Your Mercedes Six-Wheel Project
The completed third-axle pickup conversion combines an extended frame, functional drivetrain integration and classic six-wheel proportions. It remains a custom Kubay Design project based on the selected donor and final specification.
